VORTAL has concluded the acquisition process of SaphetyGov electronic purchasing platform, and thus began to operate two platforms in the public sector: VortalGov and SaphetyGov.

The two platforms will coexist in the Portuguese market as independent platforms, without any impact or change for buyers and suppliers using SaphetyGov and ensuring normal business continuity. The two platforms have specialized and distinct teams dedicated to their management, remaining distinct in their functionalities and ongoing procedures. The team allocated to the management of the SaphetyGov platform becomes part of VORTAL in order to ensure that, up to the level of the interlocutors, there will be no changes for current clients and users.

For suppliers, this acquisition also translates into access to more business opportunities and access to new innovative services that are being designed to ensure interoperability between the two platforms, making it easier for more SMEs to access public procurement. These new solutions will strengthen the portfolio of solutions that support the commercial activity of all companies, from business prospecting to invoicing, through the management of contracts with clients or benchmarking.

Miguel Sobral, CEO of VORTAL underlines: "The acquisition of SaphetyGov in Portugal is framed in the strategy of growth through acquisitions that complements the organic growth that has been consolidated internationally. It is also an opportunity to obtain synergies, taking advantage of the strong investment made in the area of interoperability between procurement platforms. Suppliers will be the main beneficiaries of this transaction".

VORTAL operates electronic procurement and purchase management platforms in 10 countries, in the public and private sectors, and is recognized by several international analysts as one of the most comprehensive operators in the public sector. In the public sector, VORTAL's solutions are configured in accordance with national legislation for public procurement in seven countries in Europe and Latin America, being used by a community of more than 400,000 companies from over 30 countries.
